Contract Lyophilization for Molecular and Point of Care Diagnostics

Lyophilized beaded reagents (LBRs) have revolutionized the field of molecular and point-of-care diagnostics. They offer several advantages over lyophilized powders including enhanced stability, easy reconstitution, improved sample handling, versatility, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.

At Fortis, we have over 3 decades of scientific expertise and are committed to delivering high-quality contract lyophilization services. By fostering a collaborative environment, we aim to establish a deep understanding of your needs and challenges, allowing us to develop tailor-made lyophilized solutions that align with your requirements.

Our manufacturing facility is fully equipped to handle bulk production to meet the demands of commercial scale.

Lyophilized Beaded Reagents (LBRs)

Our Manufacturing Facility

  • 36,000 sq.ft manufacturing site
  • ISO: 13485 certified, 21 CFR 820 compliant
  • 500 sq. ft. development dry room with 4 pilot scale lyophilizers
  • High throughput LBR dispensing capability
  • Over 4000 sq. ft. Low Humidity space
  • 20 MILLION beads per month per shift

We produce LBRs in sizes from 3µL to 40µL. These can be produced to contain and preserve the function of critical assay reagents including magnetic beads, colorimetric and fluorescent conjugates, PCR reagents (enzymes, primers, and probes), antibodies, proteins, and chemical-only components. We support a variety of ultra-high-sensitivity, point-of-care, and multiplexing applications as well as novel technologies such as quantitative lateral flow, CRISPR-based diagnostics, and isothermal amplification.
